The Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana owns and operates three PET scanning facilities in Shreveport Louisiana.
- Biomedical Research Institute on the LSUHSC Campus at 1505 Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA.
- Willis-Knighton Cancer Center at 2600 King Highway, Shreveport, LA.
- Christus-Schumpert Hospital at One St. Mary Place, Shreveport, LA.
All of our sites State-of-the-Art GE PET Equipment. The sites at Willis-Knighton and Christus Schumpert utilize GE combination PET/CT scanners (Discovery LS), While the site at the Biomedical Research Institute operates a GE Advance PET Scanner.
- We have been performing PET Scans for 10 years, more than twice as long as anyone else in the state of Louisiana.
- We are the only PET imaging organization in the state who employ PET trained physicians who exclusively interpret PET scans. It is their only job, and they are nationally recognized experts in the field. (link to Dave’s Information page)

- We started PET in Louisiana in 1995. We were the sole provider of PET radiopharmaceuticals, to the entire state of Louisiana until late 2001, and continue to provide the majority of PET doses in the state from our two dedicated PET cyclotron facilities located in Shreveport and Baton Rouge (Link to Southern Isotopes)
