What is PET?

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a nuclear medicine procedure that provides images of the living processes inside the body. PET has clinical application in oncology, cardiology and neurology. PET's predominant clinical role is in the diagnosis, staging, treatment assessment and recurrence of cancer.
